     At present, the College has a Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering (offering master’s and doctoral degrees), Department of Systems Engineering and Naval Architecture (offering master’s and doctoral degrees), and Department of Harbor and River Engineering (offering master’s, in-service master’s, and doctoral degrees), Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering and Technology, and Bachelor Degree in Ocean Engineering and Technology (Matsu Campus), as well as a “program of Ocean Energy and Technology,” “program of Naval Mechatronic Engineering,” and “program of Ocean Engineering and Construction Technology.” This allows students from this college and even other colleges to choose the most suitable courses based on social needs to improve their competence for employment after graduation.

  In addition to cultivating engineering talents in general universities, research on marine engineering is a very important feature of the College. Ocean-related research content includes ship design and construction, integration of ocean-related systems engineering, harbor engineering and management, development and protection of coastal space, naval navigation and communication, design of marine detection equipment and instruments, study of underwater fluid power and noise, and the development of marine anti-corrosion materials. In addition to conducting research in marine technology-related fields, the College is actively involved in research related to domestic industrial, civil, and national defense, such as extended communications, noise prevention, water use, disaster prevention, and underwater noise detection, to enable the College to combine social and national needs in its development.

    • Construct a curriculum structure and learning environment  that are in line with the trend of engineering development
    • Develop students’ concepts and knowledge of cross-domain integration
    • Promote key scientific research, cross-disciplinary scientific research, industry-university cooperation capabilities, and extension services;
    • Promote international academic exchanges and cooperation.
